O'Toole wins!
The new party leader will be decided tonight. The contenders are:
Peter MacKay, Erin O'Toole, Lesyn Lewis and Derek Sloan.

Kory Teneyecke, Fmr Director of communications for Harper says the news coming out of the count room indicates things are looking good for Lewis and worrisome for MacKay.

Scheer (when asked) says he's staying on board as an MP and will run in his riding next election.

- 98%+ of votes are counted, it's just the <2% that were damaged that are being hand counted. There will be a leader named tonight.

- Less than 100 ballots left to count.
They're saying on CBC it's possible the candidates already know the results which is why MacKay's camp look sad and O'Toole's are visibly excited.

I guess they knew ahead of time that if he scored any lower than 40% on the first ballot, he'd be in trouble. He finished with 33%.
I’m following along in excel. It’s a safe assumption that Sloan voters wouldn't go to McKay. I don’t see a real path to victory here.
I also don’t see this being solved on the second ballot. It’s going to be a late night.
Sloan and Lewis have the closest views, so Lewis will probably pick up a lot of those votes. If she hypothetically collected 100% of Sloan's votes she'd be in a narrow first place and O'toole would be eliminated. But I feel like most of O'Toole's votes would go to MacKay because those two are the closest in views.
