Honestly, nobody should enter the tech field at this point.
The market is oversaturated. We'll be making Starbucks barista wages within the next 20 years.
I have a bachelors in the same. I don’t know a single person in my graduating class that’s actually working as a chemical engineer. A lucky few are operators in Fort Saskatchewan, some are on contract with oil corps, some are with service companies. But a lot of them are now construction project managers, taking another degree, or gambling on a masters.
There’s no engineering work done in Canada now. It’s all done over seas and rubber stamped by a P.Eng here.
If my wife was willing to move I'd already be in the USA. If things keep degrading I might try ti go down without her. Maybe find one of those tradwives I've heard about.
They were suggesting that if it's a full-time job a 10% cut would be a material change and probably enough to claim constructive dismissal. You would be entitled to severance if you choose not to accept it.
they never cut the wages of their best workers. only the useless tits that they can't fire during a pandemic
Our entire department are useless tits? lol
This. Most people I know with kids say if they could live like our parents / grandparents did they would have 3-5 kids.
Immigration is comprehensive; therefore, which kind of immigration are you referring to?
Do you have evidence that their degrees are fake? If so, who did you report this to? Fake from which university?
Which fucks are you referring to? You can still report this to an ethics board.

The paycut is just low enough that it isn't worth leaving over. Definitely updating the resume though, never know if a good opportunity will open up.
