Growing up in the 905, I knew a lot of Filipinos who were into hockey. So it was inevitable that Filipinos were going to make the NHL.

If you have a passion for hockey, if you have a natural ability for hockey AND you are willing to work hard, you can make the NHL. The reason why black kids in Canada mostly don't make the NHL is because they are more interested in playing basketball.

You have to be tall to play basketball competitively and black people are not any taller than Northern Europeans despite the big black man stereotype. So a lot of black men who are too short for the NBA have the option to give hockey a try. It's just that they don't gravitate towards the sport when they are young due to disinterest.

I don't buy this meme that expensive hockey equipment is preventing Tyrone and Jamal from playing hockey. Lots of poor French-Canadians in Quebec grew up to be NHLers. Lots of poor whites in fucking rural Saskatchewan wore hand-me-down equipment, skates, sticks from their older siblings. And they made it.

Black people don't find themselves in the NHL because they are mostly not interested in hockey. Whereas black people dominate the NBA because wypipo are not interested in basketball much and black people tend to have short torsos, long legs and long arms (wingspan) relative to their height, making them suitable for basketball.

Being a manlet with a low centre of gravity, I never took basketball seriously. And focused on soccer instead. And with all this black cocks matter shit in the NBA now, I would have hated myself if I was a NBA point guard.
