You make a good point about how the leftist media seized the opportunity, but on the other hand, this is a guy who looted his own companies to provide high fashion bullshit for his wife like a simp, and then renounced his Canadian citizenship in a vain attempt to duck criminal charges. Fuck them both.
They say you can always tell the pioneers by the arrows in their backs, and Amiel was absolutely one, but with 2020 vision (hah!), she's still very much of her generation. Amiel made most of her enemies before Conrad anyway. Some of her proteges (like Faith, can't remember why I think that) are still kicking around too.
I wish I had more than sympathy for them both, but the present is so much worse than anything Amiel could say about people who don't matter anymore. Unless she can top the Epstein/Maxwell scandal, (and there's no way she didn't know what was going on. Maxwell used her as a stepping stone like she used everyone else, some of Amiel's more bitter detractors would say peas from the same pod), I just don't see there being much in there that matters now.
Maybe I'm wrong, but has a tell all memoir ever caused any real unpunished crimes to be prosecuted?
