Congress is already bought and paid for by corporations
Because the wealthy have the most mobile capital in the world. They have a hedge fund manager to manage their portfolio for them who probably has inside knowledge of what moves are going to be made in the market. While the average person is stuck with depreciating currency in their savings account and a mutual fund portfolio that is managed by a financial institution that is taking a big percentage of the gains for themselves.
The polls weren't wrong in 2016. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. Not the electoral college. The electoral college elects the president. It's the polling in battle ground states that matter. And the Clinton vs Trump head-to-head in the battle ground states was within the margin of error. If you poll 1,000 people randomly in even a small state with 1 million people, the margin of error is +/- 3.097% with a 95% confidence interval. So if the polls have Clinton winning by say 2% in Wisconsin, that doesn't mean fuck all.
But when the polls right now have Biden winning by 5+% in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, that's above the margin of error. If you poll 1,000 people within a population of 10 million (basically Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc), the margin of error is +/- ±4.438% with a 99.5% confidence interval. Biden is winning by 5+%. His odds are very good. Unless the Shy Trump Voter effect is strong enough to make a difference.
