I can honestly say that when I look back on my school days, I was truly inspired by maybe 5 of my teachers and the rest of them made no difference whatsoever on my life. If anything, they made it worse.
That numbers probably higher than everyone else because 4 of them were from junior high when I was in a gifted school so the teachers were far better and far more sympathetic.
The only saving grace of the decline of the educational system is that it's impossible to indoctrinate if your source sucks. The majority of kids won't be indoctrinated by the shitty teachers because they don't respect them.
A kid will have a lot of teachers, but very few teachers that impact its life.
That's why I don't worry to much about the indoctrination in public schools. The good teachers are the important ones and they aren't concerned with that shit.
