This interview didn't really do her paper any justice, as she is a scientist and not a geopolitical expert. If you don't have time to read the paper, just try to understand figure 1, "Genomic sequence analysis reveals that ZC45, or a closely related bat coronavirus, should be the backbone used for the creation of SARS-CoV-2"
Her strong accent doesn't do her any favours, as the paper (which as of yet is not officially published in any mainstream journals) makes some very compelling and detailed technical arguments.
The paper's introduction makes assertions of censorship with sources to that claim that don't really back up that assertion sufficiently. So that's a problem for this paper, but so is censorship if it is going on, and there are other experts that would are making this claim. Unfortunately the paper doesn't do a good job of defending claims of censorship (not that it should, the goal of the paper is to address the origins of SARS-CoV-2, not complain about politics). But if this paper fails to be published in a mainstream journal, many will dismiss it out of hand without considering the evidence.
We need experts asking hard questions, not following orders and confirmation bias. Unfortunately academia has lost a lot of its integrity, so even if this paper is scientifically sound, there is cause for concern for push back from the establishment.
