Of course not, they would never implement UBI.
What they'll do is promise it in a throne speech that will be shot down, then promise it in an election.
When the time comes to actually do it, they'll have 8 fucking committees to examine the issue and they'll come back with the recommendation that it isn't feasible and that the majority of Canadians are opposed after burning 10 or 20 millionish in salarys, hotels, chartered jets and dinners.
As is tradition.
I'm always amused when people take the government at its word. If the government told the truth then we'd vote for our senators, have proportional representation in the house, there would be no free trade with the States, we wouldn't have GST, the immigration rate would be sane, housing would be affordable, pot entrepreneurship would be possible, beer and darts would be a quarter of the price, there would be no 30 zones and no speed camera, we'd have affordable childcare, better support for seniors and people with disabilities, ample public housing and a fantastic infrastructure just to start.
Our government almost never tells the truth, and if you believe that they'll do something just because they hint at it then you're either a 15 year old kid or deaf and blind.
UBI will never happen.
The Country's finances were driven deeply into the shitter before March 2020. We couldn't afford the government we had previous to this stupidity with $20 bil deficits being Trudeau's baseline. Every man, woman and child has to kick in an extra $500 every year just to cover the the existing largess of the Feds. No fucking shit the numbers won't add up for UBI.
It is a bullshit dog and pony show to distract from the criminal actions of Justin Trudeau enriching and benefiting his family at the expense of Canadians.
How important was the 912 million dollar Student Grant program anyway? So important that sweet fuck all was done, beyond cutting WE a cheque from the public treasury.
