They'll keep shutting down over and over if it's politically viable. Small businesses with disappear and the corporations who donate to the LPC will be the only ones left.
The cucks and minorities that make up the urban voter base just do whatever Trudeau tells them. He'll print money to keep them happy.
I downloaded the Ipsos PDF and they didn't do any sort of age-based breakdown. Boooo. I get the feeling that a lot of people under 40 (especially their teens and 20s) are fed up with the media fear mongering. In my social circle, I'm noticing a pattern where it's Gen X and boomers who are for this lockdown shit. While the one person in my social circle who is a bigger skeptic than me is a zoomer femoid. The media over-exaggerates how severe and lethal this virus is. These epidemiologists they invite onto CBC The National, Global News, CTV News, etc. don't they get paid for each media appearance they make? No shit the epidemiologists are going to over-play the severity of the virus. They want to keep people afraid and keep tuning in to the "expert" segments. Each expert segment they do gives them a pay cheque. And they can extort the media out of bigger cheques if these segments command good ratings. That biostatistician on Twitter who has had some media appearances as well, I'm sure the COVID paranoid gives his social media a lot of eyeballs. And I'm sure he gets paid to talk about the R0 of the virus in the media.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Theresa Tam, Dr. Bonnie Henry, Dr. Eileen de Villa, etc. are all narcissists who are never going to admit they over-estimated the severity of the virus because then they'd be out of a job. Justin Trudeau doesn't want to admit that running a deficit of hundreds of billions of dollars was a big oops. Because if you admit you're wrong, the voters see this as a sign of weakness and the Conservatives would never let Trudeau live that one down. Doug Ford doesn't want to admit that running a deficit of $38 billion+ was a big oops. Because maybe the Ontario Liberals and NDP will try to use that against him even though the Ontario Liberals and NDP are all for this lockdown and social distancing shit anyways.
Most of Paul Mitchell's followers are PPC supporters so no shit 92% of the people polled are gonna oppose another lockdown. This isn't a representative sample.
I can confirm that people in RL: family and friends, are drinking the lockdown kool-aid. I have been known as the token lockdown skeptic in my family and social circle now. Even though I'm not one of those people who say coronavirus is a hoax, I have been wearing masks voluntarily since March and I plan on getting the vaccine as soon as it's available. I just feel like our society's reaction to the virus has been grossly disproportionate to the actual risk of the virus. I'm only in favor of lockdowns in the event that projections show that hospitals will get overwhelmed if we don't. The problem is that the early models we based the initial lockdown on were way off. I've seen estimates that Sweden was projected to have 85,000 deaths. And they only have 5,865.
