It's the latest buzzword from the grievance studies folks. The problem with choosing a discipline in racial activism is that you have to find new ways to justify your entire existence and the trendy one at the moment is structural racism.
As far as I can tell, it differs from systemic racism in that it exclusively refers to government structures with the proposed remedy almost always being extreme federalism, wealth redistribution through taxation and with a lot of consultation with racial groups before any decisions are made.
I think we all can figure out whom is going to prove the racial input in any and all decisions if structural racism is to be eliminated.
In short, it's just a stupid academic trend from the worst people in academia. I look forward to the day when we can elect a government that will ignore these people.
