I was responding to this post:
There were so few blacks in pre-Canada before 1800 that we have little evidence on how they lived. In the 1700s we know that courts refused to enforce slavery, that an anti-slavery law was passed to protect US refugees, and that abolition was popular. Activists claim that all blacks in Canada before 1830 were slaves. That is clearly untrue. But the main point is that almost all blacks arrived much later. Some came fleeing slavery in the USA. A black in Canada is a thousand time more likely to have slave traders in his family tree than a black who was enslaved in pre-Canada. If reparations are in order, then they should be paying. The real argument of CBC is that slavers in the USA were white, and most Canadians are white, so Canada should be held responsible for slavery. That is pure racism.
This is what I said:
The slavers and slave traders in the USA were mostly Jews.
Here's the discussion:
https://omegacanada.win/p/HrYMllrx/cbc-enraged-that-samuel-jackson-/
Here's the moderators comment:
You are now banned for 1 day. Enough with the Jews stuff.
Check my post history, I don't even have a history of discussing Jews, it was a single comment that led to censorship.
Here is another comment in the exact same thread:
The biggest proponents of slavery in Canada were natives.
This comment received no attention by the moderators.
In the next reply I received from the moderators they said:
Repeatedly answering "it's the jooos" is your problem. You didn't nuance it in the slightest. That's antisemitism. By the by? We've never handed out a one day ban before. The rest are perms, so think about it.
Well I have thought about it and it seems that even the moderator says that my comment wasn't that bad and that he had to create a new tier of punishment for me because he couldn't justify the discipline that already existed. My comment contains no more or less nuance than the other posters reply and yet I was banned and he was not. This is itself racist as it elevates Jews above Natives in terms of if its ok to disparage them or blame them for past centuries of slavery.
Furthermore, he later replied to my response stating that:
You've done it before. One reply "it's the jooos" each time. As I say, enough.
This is untrue, my post history on omegacanada.win has no mention of Jews in it until that post and according to the moderators on thedonald.win, omegacanada is completely separate from omegacanada.win so censorship for comments made on another platform is obviously not something our moderators should be doing.
from TheDonald's Moderators sent 1 day ago. Every win is independent. Please message their mods
I received this message from their moderators after making the following post:
https://thedonald.win/p/HrcvUWnx/got-banned-and-censored-from-ome/
I expand further in some comments here about why I feel this censorship was wrong. I believe that this site should be about free speech and not reddit style censorship.
The goal if this post is not to disparage the moderators, but to have a discussion as to whether this platform should be censoring people that readily or not. Many of us left reddit due to censorship and I genuinely don't feel my comment reached the level of being antisemitism any more than the other poster was racist to natives. If a moderator wanted me to expand on the comment with evidence or to provide more nuance then he should have asked - not censored.
LATEST UPDATE
from OmegaCanada's Moderators sent 4 minutes ago. You did it twice here. Don't be an idiot.
I still stand by the fact that I in fact do not have a post history of naming Jews and my history is no excuse anyways to issue a censor. This is no different than the "you posted to the donald" stuff on reddit.
new update
from OmegaCanada's Moderators sent 2 minutes ago. You are sad. The first time I just removed it and hoped you would grow the fuck up. Second time. Ok let's try a day ban and get you clear on growing the fuck up. Now you think I'm going to go "oh whaaaaa I am I wrong?!! Did I not do what I thought I did??" Fucking hell you are a child.
again this is purely wrong. I made a single post in that thread and was banned for it and have only ever mentioned "jew" a single time on this entire website.
I repeatedly ask him to show me this second post he continues to incorrectly state that i have some history of this post which I do not.
I'd have far more respect for your bigotry if you owned it. This is just mendacious bullshit and a child's way out. You should be ashamed for yourself. You did it. I don't have a moment's question about it. It's childishly silly to deny any part of it. If you were forthright at least we could say you have the courage to embrace your convictions. But you don't have courage. You are afraid to be called out for what you say. You said it, twice. I can also say, and not even need to check, that you probably deleted the one you think I saw first. Sad. You Harvo? He's that sad.
In all my time on reddit I've actually never had a moderator treat me like this believe it or not, this guy refuses to even double check that he might be wrong about his assumptions of my post history. At least on reddit they review your history before issuing censorship.
Can you back that up though? I just spent 15 minutes trying to corroborate this claim and couldn't.
So if it's not true that "slavers and slave traders in the USA were mostly Jews", then why say it if not to shit on the jews?
I'd be happy to be corrected on this one with proper sources.
Oh, and as for why we'd remove that in the event it were untrue: Because as I've said many times before, we have a zero tolerance policy for people trying to turn this place into another r/coontown or stormfront.com. And bullshit allegations against "the joooos!" always set off alarm bells.
If you genuinely believe most US slavers were Jews, go ahead and definitively prove it and I'll make sure nobody ever gets censored for saying that again. Deal? To be clear, I'm not being snarky here, if that's an actual historical fact, I want to know about it so we're not censoring people for speaking facts.
Considering most of Acadia were expelled and exported to the south and south west US and is as obvious as city names such as Louisianna, Des Moines, Baton Rouge, Louisville, Terra Haulte, Lafayette, Montpelier... it's easier believe expelled Acadians were the predominate slave owners.
