Like it or not, we live in country predominantly inhabited by mindless NPCs who know only what CBC, Global and CTV tell them. As such, "Muh climate change" is a top election issue to voters, second only to health care.

So guess what: If you want to govern, you have to throw the electorate a bone on that issue. It's as simple as that.
Or you can die on that hill and end up with zero seats like Max, and hand Truduea another term.

And here's the thing: Max isn't an idiot. He understands this perfectly. He knows the positions he takes on these issues are losing postions that will put him at rock bottom where doesn't have to worry about accidentally winning a seat then actually having to show up to work and do something for four years (rather than sitting at home, collecting his full MP's pension + his $100k "PPC leader" paycheque which is how he wants it). The problem is, his supporters don't understand these are intentionally losing positions meant to keep suckers sending cheques to Max without putting Max in danger of ever actually having to do anything.

If only you people could see that you're being taken for a ride by at best a twitter evangelist, or at worst an L. Ron Hubbard type character.
