True there are dickhead Gen X. Its my generation and I take NO offence to what you wrote. We are all over the place, nothing really defines us. We grew up with all sorts of clicks and styles and groups.
Have you ever seen the movie The Breakfast Club? It sums up our generation despite it not really being a favourite of mine. The thing with Boomers and Millenials I have observed is they are prone to group think whereas Gen X as I said are all over the place.
We had our jocks, our mods, our skaters, our dirt bike riders, our drama geeks, our nerds, our preps, our punks, our version of EMO (ohh I love Morissey and the Smiths) types, our whiggers into rap. There was a lot of grass roots movements in style and music. Most of the time, most of the time not always even if we didn't like another group, I was a jock and would tease nerds and didn't like drama geeks, I would still be friends with them.
These different styles and groups were never firm or static they were always moving and changing depending on context.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
spez we had our skids. How could I forget the skids?
