There is a trade off with individualism vs collectivism. If you want pure individualism, you can have that if you go live in the jungle. But most people don't want to live in the jungle. They want the creature comforts of modernity. But our modern society is moving too much into the collectivist direction. To the point where the government is forcing you to stay inside over a virus with a 99.7% survival rate.
