I think in Syria they're doing that for Israel and not the small amount of oil they're stealing from Syria's oil-producing area. They've supported SA on Yemen. They're doing a regime change re-effort on Venezuela (for the oil, I believe) and telling Germany it WILL BUY US LNG.
