They were more heavy handed with lockdowns. Remain inside at all times aside from getting food, not even allowed to walk the dog. Arresting people for driving outside a small distance from their house. Breaking multiple people's front doors, and arresting them because they were planning on protesting. They also more heavily censor media.

They were much closer to being free from the virus, while here it was already endemic when they started restrictions. Still way too harsh for me.
