Ok, I think this whole vaccine debate started on common sense grounds - i.e. people should never be forced by the state to get a vaccine if they don't want to but that's somehow mutated into people thinking they need to object to the vaccine itself, refuse to get it on principle, yell at people who do choose to get it etc etc.
The argument was never about whether people should get the vaccine, it was about the potential of the state committing an overreach if/when they tried to comel people to get it. THAT is what we were objecting to. Don't be one of these people who thinks that means you have to choose not to get the vaccine in order to maintain your ideological purity. That was never what the debate was about (until the crazies moved in that is). That's basically batshit antivaxxer territory.
You are not committing an ideological betrayal by getting the vax. Anyone who says you are is fucking crazy. If you want to get the vaccine, go ahead. It's fine (from a principle standpoint) as long as you're not being forced by the gov't.
Now that's the principle angle. As for the personal health/safety angle, you have to judge for yourself if you think it's safe to get the vaccine. Apprehension was well founded when these vaccines were first being rolled out, but now that millions have had it for in some cases months, and no major, widespread side effects have manifested, you've got better info to base your decision on.
And whatever you choose, you don't need to tell us or anyone else. You choosing whether or not to get the vax is a personal health and safety issue, not an internet ideology issue. You should care exactly zero about what anyone on the internet has to say about you getting the vax.
More than anything though, don't solicit medical advice from a place like this. Not only are there no doctors here, but people in forums like this will give you the answer that best serves their own ideological beliefs, not the answer that best serves your health and safety interests.
