I remember growing up in the late 90s I was taught that everyone was an individual and that race doesn't matter. I had friends of all backgrounds and accepted them as equals. Now, 20 years later, I am being demonized for the actions of others that I have no control over.

It's like we had already moved passed race being important, then we got suckerpunched from behind and are now right back to race and skin colour being everything to one's identity. This is NOT my Canada, and likely never will be again. I do not recognize this guilt tripping authoritarian nightmare as the country I once loved.
