The stupidity you hear coming from the USA, and now the UK, over voter ID laws being racist is just mind boggling.

If you cannot be obliged to get an ID then maybe you shouldn't even be voting in the first place? Voting is a right, but each citizen has an obligation to follow the rules and procedures necessary to vote, and one of them being ID. Rights come with obligations and responsibilities.
