If the Conservatives condemn the protests, they'll deny themselves the benefit of being able to claim victory when the protests succeed in their goal.

Fortunately the actual presumptive leader of the CPC (Poilievre) has been unequivocally supportive of the protests. Bergen can jump on this grenade if she wants to. She's expendable.
