I doubt ANY candidate with the exception of Bernier would even mull the concept of "opting-out" of any mandated scheme. You will never find Government solutions to Government problems, because the system itself is corrupt and unsalvageable. We can only ever get band-aid solutions so long as Government continues to exist.

In a Libertarian society, taxes would be few and far between if at all. That is the only solution to our woes.
