Trudeau is in charge. Literally.

In a real country that has the rule of law (i.e. where the LAW is in charge, and everyone including the PM are subject to it), the independent judiciary would step in and hold the executive accountable when they were caught committing crimes because in real countries that have the rule of law, nobody is above the law. That's the whole point of having an independent judiciary that's not beholden to the executive (i.e the PM).

But by firing Jody Wilson Raybould when she tried to stand in the way of his corruption, Trudeau essentially deleted the independent judiciary by taking executive control of it. Where before Trudeau was subject to the law like the rest of us, now Trudeau is the law.

This is what was so serious about the SNC Lavalin scandal. Unfortunately for most of the public, that got lost in the technical details of the case. The bottom line though is that Trudeau put himself above the law. And now that he's done that, he's helping himself to hundreds of millions of taxpayer's dollars because there's nobody left to stop him. He got rid of them all and deleted those powers.
