A lot of talk about the whole "he's going to defund the CBC!" but let's be realistic, what does that even achieve?

There isn't any mainstream right-wing broadcaster in Canada. Lowering the CBC capacity will just leave a gap in the market for CTV, Global, and etc to fill it in and they are all just as left-wing. Privatizing the CBC in the end just makes another private left-wing media company.

The best thing to do would be to purge the whole damn thing and fire everyone and recreate the CBC into a Canadian Fox news, then privatize it so the Liberals can't turn it back, and basically just give away all of that ready-made media infrastructure to a new Canadian Fox News. That would hurt the cathedral, but a Red Tory would never do that.
