Canada is British North America, rooted in Christianity, and Roman, and Greek, philosophy, and legalism. This never changed, this is still in our constitution, specifically Constitution Act 1867, the very first part of our constitution.

The core book that helped me understand this was “Loyalism and the Formation of the British World” by Allan Blackstock, which is a collection of essays about the British Empire, and it included several chapters, and sections, on English Canada and Quebec. It speaks of how our identity as Canadians was molded under the British Empire up until the 1960’s, and how Protestantism and Catholicism was vital in ensuring social cohesion in Canada, as a nation under one God (this is familiar for Americans). Canadian communities were organized in parish communities and missionaries, both Protestant, and Catholic, for most of Canadian history. We inherited Roman, and Greek, values, such as the Christian virtues, and Canada’s deep roots in Loyalism to the monarchy (contrary to the American revolutionaries) is an inheritance from the Roman virtue of piety (pietas, loyalty to God, family, and country).

Other books which were helpful are “Hostages to Fortune” by Peter C. Newman, which is about Canada’s identity as British North America, and as Loyalists, of English, and French, descent. And finally, “The Crown and Canadian Federalism” by D. Michael Jackson, which is about Canada as a country that is fundamentally organized as a confederated kingdom, descended from the Kingdom of France, to a personal union with the British crown.

Multiculturalism is not our identity, that is a lie, perpetuated by the liberal school system, and indoctrinates Canadians to hate the ageless principles that built this country.
