22 Minutes is a comedy show. They're not making fun of him for having COVID-19. They're saying that having COVID-19 is the most interesting thing about him. Because he's boring and lacks charisma. Being boring and uncharismatic is not necessarily a death sentence. Stephen Harper was also boring and uncharismatic too but managed to be Prime Minister for over 9 years because the Liberal Party was a train wreck then and appears to be heading in that direction now.

I was also shocked at how hard PBS Frontline went after Joe Biden in a recent show of theirs. Even though the Republicans paint PBS as being a radical left channel. Public broadcasting generally attempts to be non-partisan.
