When I talk to friends 'out west' about the stuff going on in Ontario and Quebec, I can hear stunned silence on the other end of the line. This region might as well be on Mars as far as they are concerned.

edit: Most of the immigrants coming to Canada are from India and Pakistan. They're replacing us and the vast majority make their way to the Toronto region. They will settle for a much lower standard of living than a Canadian would, both in wages and housing. As a Canadian, you're beginning to have to compete with them, and it's a race to the bottom. If you're not willing to settle for what they will, you'll be jobless and homeless.
