This began with Harper, and continued with Trudeau. Harper was a great economist, you can see external liabilities reduced by the end of his term, and we became a creditor nation at the end of his term.

This effectively shuts down the narrative that we need mass immigration to pay for pensions and subsidies. As a creditor nation we're now financially similar to the Netherlands, and Japan. This is a great opportunity to make major reforms, particularly cutting immigration drastically.
