There was no DDoS attack. Just excessively high traffic (mainly on T_D obviously) due to the debate. And I guess a server that has 400MB/s up speed cap which apparently doesn't cut it. They're replacing that tomorrow.

You gotta remember, a DDoS attack is identical to just too much traffic. A DDoS attack is just when an attacker uses a whole bunch of computers to try and access the server at once, which puts it over capacity. So if something important is going on (like a debate or election night) and you can't access the site, chances are it's just too much ordinary traffic.
