This reminds me of the first time gas prices hit $1.00 in Ontario (About a decade ago, i think). Gas prices were at about 99 cents. That day, we knew that they would go to $1 at midnight. $1 is that psychological threshold where gas suddenly becomes way too expensive for dummies. Line-ups at the gas station that evening were 30 minutes long, this to save 50 cents when filling up a tank.
