It's true this thing has shut down every benefit of living in a big city.. all they kept was high housing costs (artificially inflated by immigrants) and getting to live among shitty anti Canadian people.

I live in medium-ish city right now and lease office space for my business and I told my landlord recently not to expect a renewal of my lease in the summer if this keeps up, since there is absolutely no benefit to being in a city that shuts down every time people get a cold. I could pay 1/3rd for the same space 20 mins outside the city and really I don't even need an office since I have pretty much everyone working remotely anyways at the moment, except those that need to escape the horror of being at home with their family 24/7.
