BUT, here's the thing. Women starting coming out of the woodwork around the time of the scandal; they claimed that he promised them jobs, in exchange for favors.
So they weren't ALL simply throwing themselves at him because he was some kind of God. He was gaming them with promises of lucrative jobs and deals. Then, they bailed when it was obvious that he wasn't going to fulfill his side of the bargain.
