The PPC are not an election threat to the Liberals. They ARE however a threat to the CPC by way of vote splitting. Every point the PPC gains is siphoned off of the CPC. That makes the CPC easier for the LPC to defeat. The Liberals BENEFIT from a strong PPC. See RightofSasks's reply to my comment below.
