Like most people on this site, you don't understand the game that's being played.

  • FACT: You live in a country that's made up of like 70% leftists.
  • FACT: Those leftists LOVE the lockdowns, LOVE authoritarianism and HATE Christians with a passion that would make Adolph Hitler blush.

That is the political landscape within which a Conservative party has to try to get elected. So you need to ask yourself, do I:

A) Want my party to virtue-signal to me about lockdowns and pastors, and vocally pander to my fringe views on every issue, and then as a result end up with zero seats after the next election, meaning I'll have to live under a Liberal-Majority/NDP-opposition marxist dystopia probably for the rest of my life?

B) Or would I rather my party play the field and say/do whatever is necessary to negotiate a victory and remove the leftists for power, even if some of those concessions aren't exactly what I want, because I'm mature enough to understand that living in a democracy necessarily means not getting 100% of what you want 100% of the time, especially when you're a minority wing-nut fringe.

You people are condemning the CPC for trying to win an election, and demanding they take PPC-like positions that would send them to rock bottom alongside the PPC - because you refuse to understand that you're a political minority in this country.

Like, don't you get it? If they pander to your radical positions, they lose. So even if the party establishment agrees with you on pastors and lockdowns, they can't come out and say it. Because if they do, they'll get killed in the next election. And while many people on this site seem to have difficulty with the following concept, political parties are in the business of winning elections above all else. Because they can't do shit for you or your pastors or your lockdowns if they don't win elections.
