mRNA is messenger RNA. We already have it in our bodies. It doesn't even touch the DNA or enter the nucleus of cells. So all those people on this sub last year saying it would alter your DNA were misinformed.

It just passes through the ribosomes in the cells of our body, which are organelles, one of the many mini-organs within a cell.

These ribosomes create proteins. This type of mRNA would enable the creation of proteins that are similar to proteins you find in the virus.

These proteins create an immune reaction that is very effective.

The advantage is that the vaccine doesn't introduce any virus in our system, neither live or inactivated, just a mRNA molecule that uses our own body to create proteins.

It's a new type of technology that people have been talking about for decades and it will probably the source of new vaccines that will cure cancers, and the way we create vaccines of the future. The reason why is that it takes far less time to create than the vaccines we currently have on the market. By the time we create and approve the vaccine it sometimes too late, the virus mutated.

Unfortunately this means vaccine shots are going to be a regular thing.. which is profitable for those that create it.
