Their forefathers didn't pay enormous prices for a house nor did government regulations kill Canadian jobs the way they do today. This is one of the things that has turned me off about conservatives. When they have open contempt for welfare recipients but don't bother to try to understand the welfare recipient's situation. They don't understand the frustration of applying for jobs, going to interviews and being turned down continuously. Because wealthy Canadians are choosing to invest abroad or in real estate than in actual Canadian entrepreneurship. Or choosing to import a foreign visa worker than hire a Canadian. The government regulations make it hard for small businesses to afford to hire more staff. And there is a housing shortage because of fucking NIMBYs pressuring the government to keep zoning laws tight. because they don't want the poors to move in. It's not fair to punch down shitting on people who are already being shit on by their government and by NIMBY Karens (the same fuckers who snitch on neighbours for not wearing a mask or social distancing. I live in the burbs. Karens are everywhere.)

Liberals and NDP lack fiscal discipline and make problems worse with their policies while a lot of Conservative lack empathy. This is the challenge that Tories face with the Canadian electorate. It doesn't make sense to give up on a growing segment of the population. That being poor people, including poor whites. Especially in the Maritimes. People are not going to want to vote for you if you show contempt towards them. The Liberals/NDP/Democrats make this mistake too when they show open contempt for poor whites. A lot of poor whites feel like none of the political parties represent their interests and so they don't vote. As a result you get a political battle between middle-class white people voting Tory and SJWs and BIPOC voting Liberal/NDP. And then we wonder why voter turnout is so low.

Focusing only on middle-class white people when the middle-class is fucking shrinking is not a winning strategy in 2020 and beyond. Trump did a good job of getting poor whites, latinos, blacks, Muslims to vote for him. If it wasn't for pissed off disenfranchised poor whites turning out for Trump in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, etc., Trump would have never become president.
