Democracy is rule by those who can most influence the masses. This includes the media, news, entertainment, education, and similar positions. Once those roles have been centralized, the politicians get better returns by satisfying those owners instead of the public.
The rotating circus of politicians also means that you cannot hold elected officials directly accountable. By the time the public learns somebody made a massive mistake, they can be out of politics for many years. This leads to massive unaccountability to the general population and only accountability to the centralized money holders.
Canada is rapidly heading into South Africa levels. Of course many European cities are falling into the same thing, but it's not quite as bad. We have had "anti-discrimination" enshrined into our charter of rights and freedoms thanks to Trudeau Sr. The population has been largely stripped of their guns, ability to associate with who they choose, and freedoms of speech.
A "nation" is a homogeneous group of people, traditionally based on language and ethnicity. There was a point that Canada was two nations, English and French, but now they have introduced so many "diverse" groups to Canada that it's now nothing but tribalism ahead.
There will be a time when the Canadian government falls, and it will be well deserved.
More like 8 in 10 would be hesitant, even the ones who took it. They just comply, doing things like wearing masks, and whatever else, because the "experts", media, and government tell them they have to. They will say "Well I don't want to, but I have to" and aren't willing to stand up against something they have little knowledge of.
The only people who aren't hesitant are useful idiots who have had their critical thinking crushed until they only know appeals to authority. The establishment could create a narrative where they need to start wearing only white clothing because that repels the virus, and they would do it regardless of any criticism.
The vast majority of people do not ask "Is this really true" they will ask "Would people be okay with me thinking this is true" and act accordingly.
Democracy is rule by who can most influence the masses. That is media, news, education, "experts", and more. Those are the people who have been bought and paid for. All the government does is work for the people in control over those industries.
The real leaders of the country are not elected. They have their positions due to inheritance, connections, and overall influence. The people we elect do their duty towards people like that.
I suggest watching some videos about it by Academic Agent. The tl;dr on that one is the Maldives is very low near the sea level and yet is still getting building projects like a new airport, new houses, etc, which makes no sense if people are worried about it getting flooded in the near future.
The media had it out for Trump too, because they knew he would be good for the people. I don't think buying into the anti-white bigotry is a way to win. It will only perpetuate the problem if you try and sidestep it by dodging the question entirely.
YesMovement does a good job of covering Canadian news there.
