The point of this (or any) protest is to persuade the public to support your cause.

In this case, I dare say it's been working. Everywhere you look, there's a distinct sense that the media and the government are on the defensive.

With that said though, you need to know when to cash out and leave while public support is high. Because if you stay too long you'll wear out your welcome and people will sour to you and your cause.

I hope the organizers don't think this is something they're going to just keep up forever until the government concedes to their demands, because that's never going to happen. After a certain point, remaining will only strengthen the government's resolve and send more support to their side.

They're already laying the groundwork.

"Protest convoy nearing Ottawa sparks concerns over possible extremist violence" - Global

"Ottawa police gear up for possible violence as trucker convoy heads to the capital" - National Observer.

The "Jan 6th" incident in the US gave the establishment everything they needed to paint Republicans as terrorists and engage in a mass persecution campaign. Now the Canadian establishment is trying to do the same.. Do NOT give them what they want. If anyone tries to incite violence or a storming of parliament, point a camera at them, chant "FED!" and notify the police. Make sure they don't get any tractions. The onus is on the legitimate protestors to weed out the bad actors. Don't let the establishment use you to manufacture their own "Jan 6th".
