I don't recall many times when Canada came up in a conversation outside of friends asking about my trips up there. The rare occasion it has come up in conversation, it's always about the countryside and how beautiful it is. It doesn't show up in our news often. I don't overhear people talking about it while I've done shopping. While there, it was a coin toss on if I'd hear someone at the store complaining about Trump or americans. Their news talked about us a lot. No one realized I was american unless they needed to see my driver's license or saw my plates. I get the impression that we're resented.
