So Valentine's Day is cancelled here in Peel? Booooo. They wanted to take Thanksgiving from us, they took Christmas and NYE from us, now they are going to take Valentine's Day from us.

Lockdowns are due to a panicked scared public putting pressure on the government to lockdown. We've had 10.5 months of data to study on the coronavirus. And what we know so far is that it's a mild respiratory illness for 95+% of people and severe (ranging from hospitalization to death) for <5%. But our general public doesn't act like this is a 95+/<5 virus.

Here in the Greater Toronto Area, the people I know in RL (friends and family) are overwhelmingly for the stay at home order and lockdowns. People don't do their own research. They form their opinions based on what they hear from CP24, CBC, Global, CTV, CNN, etc. These channels including CNN is included for free in most TV packages in Canada. I'm with Rogers and Fox News costs extra. I have to go to YouTube to watch clips of Fox News. Boomers mostly get their news from TV or maybe the paper.

If Covid destroyed the economy, they wouldn't need to make it illegal for non-essential businesses to do anything beyond curbside pickup, takeout, delivery, drive-thru. Because the people would all just stay at home voluntarily afraid of the virus.

If there was no lockdown, a lot of people afraid of catching the virus would voluntarily stay home as much as possible. But if they make it a law, that shows that there is a considerable amount of non-compliance with voluntary social distancing. And so no shit lockdowns have a negative impact on the economy.

Cuba would have been screwed even if they adopted capitalism. It's very difficult for a Caribbean Island with not much in the way of natural resources with 11 million citizens to sustain a high standard of living for itself.

Haiti and Dominican Republic are the only other countries with a population close to Cuba's in the Caribbean, they have capitalism and they are poor as fuck. What kind of industry are they supposed to have in the Caribbean islands? Tourism, black prostitutes, Mandingo prostitutes for middle-aged fat white women, Bananas, sugar, coffee, helping wealthy people money launder and evade taxes.

All the wealthy Caribbean islands are small sparsely populated money laundering tax havens. It's easy to support a small population offering financial services to the world's wealthy. Not so easy to support 11 million people off that kind of economy.

Countries like Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti are always going to be poor no matter what. Batista's Cuba was not a paradise by any means. Batista's Cuba was great for the wealthy foreigners who invested and vacationed there. But the Cubans working in the casinos, factories and in the farms didn't exactly have a good standard of living. Which is why they had a revolution in the first place.

The STDs (HIV, HSV, HPV, etc.) are completely different types of viruses from respiratory viruses (influenzas, coronaviruses, rhinoviruses). HSV can be dormant in your system for 20 years and then all of a sudden you get visible herpes. That's a completely different beast from respiratory viruses that die in less than 14 days.

The STDs also infect different types of cells

HIV transmits via blood

HPV and HSV transit via skin cells

Influenza, coronavirus, rhinovirus transmit via respiratory tract cells.

A blood-borne virus is not going to compete with a skin-based virus is not going to compete with a respiratory virus

The only real STD virus competition is between HPV and HSV as they are both skin viruses. I don't know how those two sort it out. But both viruses are notorious for being dormant for years in your system. There's also bacterial STDs which are different from viruses.

Back in the summer the media was fearmongering about the possibility of COVID and flu co-infection in the fall and winter. You really think the government deliberately wants to suppress flu statistics when Fauci was warning people that flu co-infection would make COVID more lethal?

The Wii and Nintendo DS were actually very popular with women. But now Nintendo's primary audience are soy boys aged 25-34. What happened there?

Ivor Cummins pointed out that it's normal for dominant viruses to out-compete weaker viruses for host cell resources. Kind of like when a thot has two different men cum inside of her within a 24 hour period, only one sperm wins. I did some research on this aspect of viruses and the whole virus competition thing is legit. The media and "experts" fearmongered back in the summer that there would be a lot of COVID and flu co-infections. But that never happened. And now with the new strains b.1.1.7 (UK variant) is like Chad and b.1.351 (South African variant) is like Tyrone. And the original strain is like the beta male who is getting cucked. And the flu strains are like incels right barely getting any of the Staceys (host cells).

It's weird how even accepting a $130 donation from a white nationalist is enough to get you cancelled. How many white nationalists donated to Trump? Probably a ton. Accepting a small donation from a white nationalist doesn't mean you're going to implement a white ethno-state in Canada. When you're an MP facing a competitive challenge from the Liberals in your riding, you're going to want as many campaign donations as you can get.

Now when Canadian politicians accept the donation maximum from a bunch of wealthy Canadians, no shit that is going to influence their policy decisions.

Unless Max's social media intern knows that you're notoriously anti-PPC, it does look like even Max is cancelling Sloan.

They broke down the results by region in their poll as well. And the results are not as good as you think outside the GTA. There is broad support for the stay at home order, mandatory vaccinations and the PC's handling of the pandemic.

When I looked at the polls, I was shocked at how high the support for these restrictions were among 18-34 year olds. https://www.campaignresearch.com/news-updates Don't 18-34 year olds want to date, see their friends and enjoy their youth?

Suicide deaths are actually down in 2020. I showed you the statscan link to the raw data. Go take a look. Facts don't care about your feelings. You want this to be a weak virus so badly. But it actually is significantly stronger than the flu. It's weak for the vast majority of people. But for people 65+ and immuno-compromised, it's significantly more lethal than the flu. I just don't think it's anywhere near as strong enough to justify lockdowns.

Does the travel rule allow me to take a one-way ticket out of Canada and wire all my money to a foreign bank at least? Fuck this country.

Dr. Lawrence Loh wants non-essential items banned from brick and mortar retail (like Wal-Mart and Costco) as well. The reason why he wants non-essential items banned for sale online is because a lot of the outbreaks in Peel are coming from Amazon Fulfillment Centers and other warehouses fulfilling online orders. Like the Old Navy warehouse in Brampton.

I want to stay optimistic. I would like to believe that Ontario is going to re-open Feb 11th. Including Toronto and Peel. But that is wishful thinking on my part. They're probably going to extend this lockdown in Toronto and Peel until April. FML.

Have you ever looked at r/toronto? The people in this city snitch on you to 311 for having a social gathering if they see you parked in a thot's driveway. Fuck this city.

Yeah he has cable. He's not tech savvy enough to get his news from the internet.

CNN and CP24 are included in just about every cable package for free. While Fox News and MSNBC are premium channels you have to pay for. Or you need to upgrade your package to get those channels. So CNN and CP24 is what he is exposed to.

I'm sure a lot of Canadians get their news from CBC. But my dad finds CP24 and CNN more convenient because it's 24/7 news and they're talking about the virus constantly because Trump is gone. When Trump was President, CNN had a lot of Orange Man Bad content.

Maybe. But, what is some asshole doctor's skin in the game?

I think Dr. Lawrence Loh is just grasping at straws to remain relevant tbh. Peel is down 40% in weekly cases from Jan 4-10. ICU capacity is down in Peel to 84%. Acute care 92%. Acute care was at 97% and ICU 92% two weeks ago. Deaths are down in Ontario. Probably in Peel too.

It's lunacy. The third wave won't happen in Canada until September. And that's only if the virus mutates enough to nullify the vaccine or if the vaccine ends up being a failure. I'm afraid they're going to lock down every fall and winter now and that this is never going to end.

My dad in response to this news (I even informed him of the 40% weekly case drop in Peel): >Muh variant

Even though cases are down in the UK and South Africa where the variants come from. lmao.

CNN's fearporn is so effective against my facts, reason, evidence and logic. It's demoralizing. Whenever I present new evidence, they shift the goal posts. Always. They'll never be satisfied until the risk is 0%.

My dad is a pussy with no life who is satisfied to just stay inside like a scared little bitch. He cancelled his optometrist appointment because muh variant. He hasn't seen his dentist since December 2019 even though he has a tooth ache because muh variant. But I am surprised how many other Canadians are like that 10.5 months into this pandemic.
