I was on CERB for 7 weeks in the spring, Mid March to the end of April. While I did enjoy my time off, I didn't just do nothing. I work in HR as a career (yeah, I know). I applied to many jobs in my city that were available - I was fully prepared to go back to stocking shelves at the grocery stores, liquor stores and even looked into some warehouse work. At the same time, I was applying for jobs in my field. Finally at the end of April, I landed a better paying job than my previous one. At the same time, I attended a bunch of webinars relevant to my field. I actually felt guilty for taking CERB and thought I was going be "investigated" by the CRA. Needless to say, I don't feel as guilty anymore, given I've heard about how many people have taken complete advantage of the system...
I've said while I don't want Wexit, I understand Wexit and think that the ones behind the Wexit movement are in many ways, right. Again,I would hate to see this country tear itself apart, but I totally understand how and why people would come to that conclusion.
Depending on whom you ask, the unusual case represents either the RCMP’s mistreatment of members on medical leave, a waste of taxpayer dollars or organizational dysfunction of the highest order.
Don't forget the absolute abysmal state of "Human Rights" and "Accommodation Laws" in this country.
Well it was actually kind of stupid and a giant waste of time. What had happened was I left the province and came back and "needed to get a covid test" but if I had shown no symptoms, I could continue to work. By the time I got my covid test, a week had already passed. By the time I had got the results, the like "14" days had nearly expired (I think it was day 12 of 14).
In other words...My job ordered me to waste their time.
naturally, I obliged.
I left /r/Canada a long time ago and my reddit experience has been a lot better for it. I can't stand how left Reddit it and how seemingly the climate on Reddit shifted. It used to be 4chan light, now its Airstrip 1.
I may be stuck in my own bias bubble but...for the life of me, I cannot see Biden winning. There is no way he doesn't win. I think there will be a surge of "fuck the democrats"... Don't know...it'll be interesting to see. I think most people are over CoronaVirus and if we keep droning on about it, people just get sick of it.
lol
Kevin O'Leary, when?
