Just this past week in Aylmer, Ontario, two notable politicians - MP Derek Sloan and MPP Randy Hillier - who have vocally opposed lockdowns - were charged for exercising their Charter-guaranteed right to worship by simply attending church.

You read that right: Legal action is being taken against Canadians for going to church.

We are asking YOU to contact both your Member of Parliament (MP) and your Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP), and implore them to advocate for these charges against MP Sloan and MPP Hillier to be dropped IMMEDIATELY.

In one way or another, most every Canadian has seen some of their individual rights and personal liberties trampled upon in the last year due to both provincial and federal government guidelines issued in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But even now, people across our country - especially people of faith - are being confronted with excessive restrictions and corresponding legal action that, just last year, would have seemed unimaginable.

And as long as our politicians allow such tyrannical measures to stay in place, at both the provincial and federal level, our most basic rights - the rights of all Canadians - will remain in jeopardy indefinitely.

Please take action today and contact your MP and MPP in one easy step using the simple contact form that LifeSite is making available on the Voter Voice platform.

Since the start of the pandemic, Ontario, in many regards, has served as the foremost example of what NOT to do when it comes to issuing guidance that keeps people safe while also preserving their freedom.

But it goes without saying that a new low has been reached when individuals are facing harsh legal penalties for simply practicing their faith.

Both MP Sloan and MPP Hillier were invited to attend a service at the Church of God in Aylmer, Ontario by its head pastor, Henry Hildebrandt, where they briefly spoke at the pulpit. But with over 400 Ontarians in attendance, the service was considered "illegal" under provincial Covid capacity restrictions.

And now, both men are facing charges that could result in the levying of a $100,000 fine, or, worse, jail time, simply for peacefully assembling with other people of faith to worship at a church service.

Canada wants to remain free... do we not!

Coal Trail Motocross Park in Hardisty, Alberta, is back in business — whether the province's COVID scolds and health bureaucrats like it or not.

The owner of the park, Emily Klassen, finally reached her wit's end with these restrictions. Over the weekend, she hosted a training event with over 300 entries in several different races. As part of Alberta's COVID mitigation rules, only practices are permitted — all kids' sports competitions are banned. Apparently, the virus can tell when someone is in the heat of competition and when they're just working on their fundamentals. Emily knows opening up is putting her in a precarious position. Police have been surveilling the park, and Emily has already had to kick public health officials off the property. But she happily took the risk to give kids a chance to get back on their bikes and enjoy their life again. Click here for my full report.

It's about time we got back to normal. If 1,000 people can pack a Costco, why can't 300 tykes on bikes rip around on a giant open field?

RebelNews helps fight fines at no cost to her through www.FightTheFines.com.
As it currently stands, we have nearly 1,000 lockdown fines that we're fighting. But as the restrictions on our civil liberties continue to tighten around the country, that number will undoubtedly continue to grow.

Rally at Calgary Downtown Co-op Their new policy is an assault on human rights! Co-op has instituted a new discriminatory mask policy violating human rights laws. The list of stores denying human rights is steadily increasing with full government support and encouragement. We all know where this is going. We are standing up now to prevent this from continuing by doing a streetside protest against this move.

Where: Co-op Midtown 1130 11th Avenue SW, Calgary Meet on 11th Avenue near the parking lot entrance, avoid going onto Co-op property.

When: 4-6pm Tomorrow Wednesday, April 28th, 4-6pm

What you can do if you can't attend We encourage all Calgary Co-op members to also speak to your local Co-op's manager, and write or call Co-op offices, to express your disapproval of this blatant human rights violation.

Today we offer a special video in honour of our British Columbia and Ontario brothers and sisters who are trapped behind the 2021 version of the Berlin Wall. Maybe, if you can ever escape your totalitarian overlords, you too can visit Florida. For now, it’s just a dream.

If you haven’t yet been reported on by your neighbours and your Internet hasn’t yet been shut down for Wrong Think, feel free to post some tips that have crossed your path!

Should be getting real enough even for the lemmings to say "oh shucks"
