I don't get it. That Lil Nas music video is disgusting. That's the representation of gay people. Then there's James Charles and sexting boys.

I know not all gay people are like this but this crap is vulgar and vomit inducing.

There is a lot of confusion these days on what is conservatism. As a matter of fact, conservatism by its reactionary nature is considered right-wing extremism these days. Here is a quick lesson from the book Reflections on the Revolution in France by Edmund Burke in response to the French liberals who murdered their king and slaughtered the religious.

  • The principle of inheritance is part of natural order.
  • The defence of inequality in property.
  • A partnership of the living, the dead, and those who are to be born.
  • Assertiveness in response to adversity.
  • Counter-revolutionary. Revolutions are the means by which the mob will confiscate private property.
  • Law and order.
  • Respecting past generations to inspire humility and abate selfishness.
  • Humility in the face of contempt.
  • Respect for Christianity.

If you espouse these views, you're not an extremist, you're just a conservative.

We cannot win the culture war when White people are imitating BLM.

Over at the r/Canada sub in Reddit, we get this lovely message for controversial posts.

Public health authorities are not the enemy. They are not immune from criticism on this subreddit, but do not claim they are part of some plot to promote some variety of authoritarianism.

The morons are lacking any sense, or logic. Bureaucrats are appointed by politicians, and politicians are our natural enemies because they have a monopoly over coercion. Ergo, public health authorities, bureaucrats, by extension, are our enemies too.

Having been published in 1985, Alba is able to examine nearly 100 years of changing culture and the assimilation process Italian-Americans went through He can fully examine the “Americanization” process as far into some third or fourth generation Italian-Americans.

I've been reading a fair bit on this idea of Canadian identity. Broadly, there is a Canadian identity, which is derivative of Great Britain, and France, and because of its geography, it's Northern American. It's tied to the idea of loyalism, which is from Roman philosophy, which specifically relates to loyalty to the Crown, personified by the Queen.

But, there is no national consciousness, as in, there isn't a specific Canadian identity, nor are there distinct provincial identities. A national consciousness is non-existent in Canada, there isn't some unifying element here beyond loyalism. This leads to my point, provincialism. In the absence of a national consciousness, provincialism is where distinct identities arise. The problem is that in Canada, most provinces do not have particular distinct identities, they were never given a chance to develop.

The only exception is Quebec. Quebec is the closest thing in Canada to a specific Canadian identity, it's a distinct provincial identity related to a particular group of people with a shared language, ancestry, customs, and traditions. I know many people on this site do not want to hear this, but it's the truth.

Ontario is, broadly speaking, a loyalist province, but beyond that it was never allowed to develop its own culture, instead it was co-opted for multiculturalism.

They're freaking out that right-wing people are rioting.

When was the last time a politician was actually conservative, that conserved the West, and Christianity? Each election, policies, and narratives, keep going more and more left.

The pendulum has to swing back inevitably. To delay it even more is only going to cause it to gain momentum.

Trudeau, 'concerned' about French in Quebec, signals he may be open to language law changes

...he said—the real change is an increase in immigration and in mother tongues that are neither English nor French.

Right now, “newcomers, new immigrants, new Canadians, allophones,” are increasingly using French, and young English-speakers also seem to have more French skills than in past generations, he said.

I don't give a fuck what language they're able to speak, if the number of native English speakers, and native French speakers, are in decline then that is a massive problem because it means native fluency is in decline.

I'm a Millennial. Generation Z are a bit more similar to Generation X and the Silent Generation. Half of my friend group is Generation Z (late teens to mid-20s), they exhibit certain liberal values (i.e. more tolerant of different groups, environmentalism, legal abortion), but the fact is that they are far less entitled than Millennials, and Boomers. Look at here. They're more financially literate, less likely to spread STD, less likely to have teenage pregnancies, oppose foreign wars, and less support for mass immigration. They tolerate LGBT people (80%), but are less supportive of the LGBT movements (support is less than 45%). They're more nationalistic (51%), and they are more right-leaning than millennials (rages between 40% to 70%). You have a good solid base to work with.

We need the Generation Z to adapt traditional values and steer them away from everything that was wrong with the Boomers, and the Millennials.
