Guess it makes sense why the left loves Islam so much, it follows a similar system of shaming/ threatening those who decide to change their mind. People have been so trained to rely on emotions that intellect and thus reason and logic take a backseat. This feeds into the left making things sound reasonable on paper as long as you don’t think about it too much (or at all). It also feeds into a sort of tribalism. This means their person is now linked to their “tribe” and their ideas which is why they can’t debate very well, they take every refute of their ideas as a personal attack and have difficulty differentiating the two. In the end basically cult programming.
