Kinda ironic, since it was Saskatchewan that elected the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation, an openly socialist party, for 20 years straight. And this socialist party is the reason why we have universal healthcare in Canada. They implemented it first in Saskatchewan.

They got a budget surplus from the last NDP government, but somehow the Saskparty managed to run a deficit in every single year of their now 13 years in power. They quadrupled the provincial debt. And every year they preach to balance the budget. Always the same song.
I've never been through Sask other than stopping off in Regina to switch flights a couple of times. I think I would probably like it there.
Don't be fooled. Regina and Saskatoon are always on the top three of the "most dangerous metropolitan areas" in Canada. The violent crime index is almost twice as high as compared to Toronto.
