My concern with 1 term limits is that politicians wouldn't have any incentive to improve their jurisdiction long-term. Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford are already all too willing to destroy the economy and destroy lives without thinking about the long-term impacts of their lockdowns. When the chickens come home to roost, Trudeau and Ford will be voted out of office so there is at least some consequence for their destructive actions. But I don't feel that our present system holds politicians accountable either! I mean common sense would dictate that politicians shouldn't be advocating for lockdowns.

I know that Trudeau and Ford are afraid that the mainstream liberal media and the public are going to say "you have blood on your hands!" if the COVID death tolls increase substantially under their watch. Look at what the media did to Trump after all. But there is no way that these lockdowns don't come back to bite them in the ass in the future.
