I have seen the left argue that only the right can be fascist. So that pretty much just leaves communist as a way to describe them. Or the more broad authoritarian or totalitarian.

I have seen people in my personal life (family) who are the furthest thing from Communist. Card carrying Tories. Who support lockdowns though. It's disheartening to see people willing accept "scientific" techno-authoritarianism. I feel like I'm in a never-ending episode of Black Mirror.
