I'll talk about Trump and racism. In fact, I'll talk about the outbreak of racism that came with him being elected President.
Unlike almost all of the US Presidents we've seen in our lifetime Trump was a first-generation immigrant.
His family came over in the early 1900's, which sets him apart from the majority of the recent Presidents because that's exceptionally new blood as far as they're concerned.
Let me put it this way. Bush, Mayflower. Rodham, Mayflower. Obama, Speedwell.
Old blood in all cases.
So how did America react to it's first-generation immigrant parent?
They called him a Nazi despite no other evidence than his German ancestry, when his family had emigrated to the States well over 20 years before the rise of Hitler.
They laughed at how he had an Americanized surname and that his last name was really "Drumpf." People were running around wearing hats that were almost identical to his famous campaign apart from the slogan "Make Donald Drumpf Again."
You have to give it to the States. The more they change the more they stay the same.
