I've been trying to explain to her since the beginning of this 'pandemic' that the idea of getting a mortgage when our government is hemorrhaging money is not a good idea. Particularly following recent statements from the WEF and the like. I do not have the ability to source unbiased articles about the housing market and economy that could help me explain why I feel the way I do about our economic future. Can you guys please help because I really don't feel like getting into a financial situation that will crumble within no time

The Great Reset bullshit.
Take some action man, why do you need to convince her youre right, why is your discomfort with the idea not a good enough for her to wait. She will never see it the way you do, she clearly does not care about economics or the current housing market because if she did she would already know that this is bad time to jump in. You need to stop treating real life like the internet, no amount of data, evidence, articles, journals, youtube videos, opinions or talking will ever get her to understand something she doesnt care about. You know what she cares about? Being safe, being protected from the world that is becoming increasingly harder to rationalize. If you approach this they way you are you will either buy a house you cannot afford/not happy with or you will be fighting until one of you does something stupid. Wake up, see her motivation for buying a house and tackle that motivation, stop appeasing emotional whims and fear based responses.
We are in the largest housing bubble in history.
Once the inflation kicks in due to money printing, they will have to raise interest rates. So if you want to buy a house through a mortgage, now would be the time.
2003 was the best year. by 2005 property values nearly doubled in most urban centers. I had a buddy who was going to buy an 8 unit apartment complex for 500k, his plan was to live in one while renting out the rest.
Wifey talked him out of it, because she needed to have fancy shit. Those units are condos now, they sell for ~175k each.
