Yeah, I take your point. We had a lot of potential in the early jet age, but we blew it. We blew it hard.
Such a beautiful time in aviation history though.
I know it’s not nearly as cool, but Canada does still have some aerospace gems. Diamond Aircraft assemble some of the most fuel-efficient aircraft ever made in London. Very, very cool engine and composite technology on display in their models.

Yeah, the Beaver is such a tank. There’s nothing else on the market quite like it. When an airframe from the late 50s is still worth reskinning, re-engineing and kitting out with modern avionics, you know you have a winner.
