I just feel like banning is a slippery slope when he wasn’t strictly breaking the rules (other than troll posting).
I don't know how many different ways I can explain this.
He's been banned from metacanada since 2011. Among many other things, he's a serial doxxer. Whether or not he deserves to be banned isn't even open to debate.
He has since created literally hundreds of accounts, all of which we've banned (if the reddit admins didn't ban them first).
Because of the bat-shit crazy enthusiasm with which creates new accounts, we decided to try just ignoring him in the hopes he'd lose interest and go away.
Unfortunately, the PPC crowd made common cause with him and started upvoting him to the top of the front page, giving him all the attention he could ever want. So the "just ignore him" approach failed, thanks to the PPCtards being morons and taking his bait.
So now we're back to just banning his accounts whenever we see them, like we have for the last decade.
If you've got a problem with that, take it up with the PPCtards for rewarding his behaviour with attention.
